Gabriel López-Asiaín

I am an M.S. student at the University of Chicago. I am also a Student Researcher at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago, working on computer vision under the supervision of Dr. Greg Shakhnarovich.

I received my B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, including an exchange year at the University of Sydney.

This summer I have been working as an AI/ML Software Engineer Intern at Amazon, on generative AI for audio in Ring.

Broadly, I am interested in machine learning that makes sense of data in any modality. Specifically, I am drawn to unsupervised methods for representation learning.
